Electronics has been a major driving force in the development of modern technologies in virtually every field of engineering. Semiconductor technology has led to the development of fantastic devices like computers, mobile phones, televisions, music systems etc. Paired up with communications technology, the possibilities that arise are infinite. Considered as a core engineering field, electronics technology is the foundation for several other technologies like communications technology, computer technology, information technology etc.
Keeping this in mind Department of Electronics & Communication started since the inception of the institute i.e. from the year 2008. It started with an intake of 60 students and later in the year 2011 the intake was increased to 120 students. The department has experienced faculty members, technical staff and well equipped laboratories. The teaching is aided by expert lectures, workshops, training courses and industrial visits to enhance the theoretical as well as practical knowledge of the students.
Vision: To produce globally competitive and socially sensitized Engineering graduates and to establish the department as a centre of excellence by bringing out the professional competence in the core areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
To impart high quality electronics and communication engineering education and professional ethics to students.
To adopt the best pedagogical methods in order to maximize knowledge transfer.
To have adequate mechanisms to enhance understanding of implementation of theoretical concepts in practical scenarios.
To provide the best facility, infrastructure, and environment to its students, researchers and faculty members, creating an ambience conducive for excellence in technical education and research.
